Anonymous access
Prove you are a member — without revealing which member you are. Aeterna uses a zero-knowledge proof, generated entirely in your browser.
The idea
Normally, proving you are allowed in means showing who you are. With anonymous access you prove something narrower: “I am one of the people who hold a membership pass”. Whoever checks the proof learns that it is true, and nothing else — not your wallet, not your email, not which pass is yours.

Using it
Open the Identity tab at the top of the app.
Create your identity
Click Create identity, then Download backup. The backup is the only way to use this identity on another device, or after clearing your browser.Mint a membership pass
Connect a wallet on the network shown and mint a pass. The wallet pays; your identity is what gets registered. You only do this once.Prove access to a file
Paste the file's transaction ID and click Generate proof. It takes a few seconds, all in your browser.Check it, or spend it
Check with server confirms you are a member without using anything up. Spend on-chain records the proof publicly, once: the same identity can never spend a second proof for that file.
What stays private
- Anyone can see that a pass was minted by your wallet — that is a public transaction.
- Nobody can link that pass to a later proof. When you prove, your browser downloads the whole member list and works out its own place in it, so not even our server learns which member is proving.
- Proofs for different files cannot be linked to each other.
Back up your identity
Like a file key, your identity secret exists only on your device. If you lose it, your membership pass stays yours but can no longer be used anonymously — you would need a new identity and a new pass.Availability
Anonymous access needs the Aeterna membership contracts on the network. Until they are deployed, you can create and back up an identity, and minting and proving open as soon as they are live. Membership proves you belong, not good behaviour: someone who can open a file can still re-share it. See Security & privacy.
